Track time on a Unit

Record time against a Work Unit with the timer or a manual entry.

Use the timer

  1. Open the Work Unit.
  2. Open Time tracking or the current stopwatch control.
  3. Start the timer when work begins.
  4. Stop it when the activity ends.
  5. Review the recorded duration before saving or submitting it.

Track time on a Unit

Add time manually

Use Add time when the work already happened or the timer was not running. Enter the duration and any required details, then save it.

Provider behavior

  • Jira and Wrike: Quely can use provider worklog entries.
  • Azure DevOps and monday.com: Quely can use aggregate provider time.
  • Linear: time is stored locally in Quely.
  • GitHub Issues, Trello, and Todoist: do not assume provider time writeback. Confirm the saved Quely entry.

If time does not sync

  • Confirm the Unit's provider and its supported time behavior.
  • Confirm the provider connection is active.
  • Confirm your provider account can log work when writeback is supported.
  • Check whether the entry was saved in Quely.
  • Compare Quely and the provider before entering it again.
