Map dependencies with Relationships

Use Relationships to understand how a Unit connects to other work and where dependencies may affect delivery.

Open the relationship map

  1. Open a Unit.
  2. Select Relationships.
  3. Review the connected items and dependency lines.
  4. Select a related item to inspect it.
  5. Open the source item when you need to work in the connected delivery tool.

Map dependencies with Relationships

Cross-provider relationships

Quely always stores the relationship in Quely. When both items use the same provider and that provider supports linking, Quely can also mirror the link to the source. Cross-provider relationships remain visible in Quely without creating an unsupported source link.

Use the map during planning

Review Relationships when sequencing work, estimating, identifying blockers, or coordinating across squads. If a dependency is missing, confirm that the related item is available to Quely and add or connect it using the current controls.

If the map is incomplete

  • Confirm the source items contain the expected links.
  • Confirm Quely can access all related projects.
  • Check whether the connected item has been added or referenced.
  • Verify that the integration supports the relationship type.
