Create and collaborate on Documents

Create a collaborative Document inside a Unit when the team needs a written artifact that stays connected to the work.

Create a Document

  1. Open the Unit.
  2. Open or enable Document.
  3. Create a new Document.
  4. Give it a clear title.
  5. Add and format the content.
  6. Confirm that autosave has completed.

The editor supports rich text such as headings, lists, links, and other standard formatting. A Unit can contain multiple Documents.

The Document gallery supports creating, renaming, duplicating, moving to a Group, archiving, and deleting Documents. Import and export controls are also available where supported.

Collaborate

Use the Document for notes, requirements, briefs, decisions, or another artifact that benefits from shared editing. Keep discussion about the Document in the Unit's Threads so the reasoning remains connected.

Use Orbit

Orbit can read Documents and help draft or update their content. Review any generated text before using it as the team's final record.

Sync behavior

Quely Documents remain in Quely. They do not sync back into Jira as native Jira content.
