Create and collaborate on Diagrams

Create a Diagram inside a Unit when a visual explanation is more useful than text alone.

Create a Diagram

  1. Open the Unit.
  2. Open or enable Diagram.
  3. Create a new Diagram.
  4. Add shapes and connections, or provide a Mermaid specification if supported by the current control.
  5. Give the Diagram a clear name.
  6. Confirm that the latest changes are saved.

A Unit can contain multiple Diagrams.

The Diagram gallery supports creating, renaming, duplicating, moving to a Group, archiving, deleting, and reordering Diagrams.

Use Orbit

Orbit can read a Diagram and help generate one. Give Orbit a clear purpose, such as mapping a workflow, dependency, or system relationship. Review the output before treating it as accurate.

Use Diagrams for

  • Workflows and processes
  • Dependencies and system relationships
  • User journeys
  • Architecture or data flows
  • Shared explanations during planning

Sync behavior

Quely Diagrams remain in Quely and do not sync back to Jira.
