Use Orbit inside a Unit

Use Unit Orbit when a question should stay grounded in one Work Unit or Context Unit.

Use Orbit inside a Unit

Open Unit Orbit

  1. Open the Space and Unit.
  2. In the right panel, start from Threads.
  3. Select Ask Orbit.
  4. In Orbit's side rail, select Chat.
  5. Start a new chat or continue the active chat.

Use Threads to return to the team conversation. Use Lenses to review shared insights from the Unit.

Ask a grounded question

Useful prompts include:

  • What is missing before this work can start?
  • What decisions have already been made?
  • Which risks or dependencies need attention?
  • Summarize the latest discussion and identify next steps.
  • What changed in the attached meeting?

Review the answer

Check the sources Orbit used before acting on an important claim. Ask a narrower follow-up if the answer combines unrelated points. Add the missing source to the Unit when the evidence is incomplete.

Turn an answer into shared work

Use the appropriate reviewed surface: a Thread for discussion, a Document for a durable written artifact, a Diagram for a visual explanation, or a supported provider action for external work.

If Orbit answers from the wrong context

Confirm the open Unit, start a new chat, and move cross-Space questions to Home Orbit.
