Quely glossary
Account
Your individual Quely access. One Account can belong to several Organizations.
Assign
A cross-Space Kanban for reviewing work, filtering by person, type, and status, and managing assignment and capacity. Self Assign is available when exactly one Space is selected.
Attachment
A file or link added to a Unit. Supported content can become an Orbit signal.
Context Unit
A Quely-native Unit used to build a living understanding of a subject. The current creation flow supports Custom. Other templates are marked Soon.
Diagram
A collaborative visual created inside a Unit.
Document
A collaborative rich-text document created inside a Unit. Documents remain in Quely.
Folder
An Organization-level container used to arrange Spaces in the sidebar.
Group
A container for related Units inside one Space. A Group is not a Unit type.
Home Orbit
The Orbit experience on Home. It searches across every Space the current user can access and offers Find, Draft, and Schedule starting actions.
Lens
A shared insight synthesized from one or more signals. Categories are Decisions, Actions, Risks, Opportunities, Open Questions, and Next Steps.
Lens Map
A visual graph connecting source signals to the Lenses they produced.

Meeting Orbit
Orbit scoped to a meeting, including its recording, transcript, notes, and meeting Lenses.
Organization
The shared company or team environment containing members and Spaces.
Orbit
Quely's AI layer. Its context depends on where it is used: Home, a Unit, or a meeting.
Orbit chat
A private conversation between one user and Orbit. Lenses and content intentionally sent to shared surfaces are not private chats.
Queue
The ordered navigation for the Units and Groups in a Space.
Relationship
A connection between Units or source items, including dependencies.
Signal
A piece of source information Orbit can use. Signals are inputs. Lenses are synthesized insights.
Space
A persistent workspace for a project, initiative, team, or theme.

Thread
The team conversation attached to a Unit.
Unit Orbit
Orbit scoped to the open Unit and its accessible signals.
Unit
The main object inside a Space. Every Unit is either Work or Context.
Work Unit
A task, ticket, or issue linked to a connected delivery tool.
Legacy search terms
Session: The previous technical name for a Space. It still appears in parts of the code but not in current user-facing guidance.
Topic: A previous technical name for a Context Unit.
