Connect and use Jira

Connect Jira to bring issues into Quely as Work Units and synchronize supported native fields.

Connect Jira

  1. Open the current integration settings or the Work Unit tool chooser.
  2. Select Jira.
  3. Complete the Jira authorization flow.
  4. Choose the Jira server or account.
  5. Select the project or workspace Quely should use.
  6. Confirm Jira displays as connected.

The web connection flow is covered here. A separate native Jira installation should be documented only from its current installation screen.

Add Jira work

From Add Unit, choose Work, select Jira, and add issues by sprint, status, type, or hand-pick selection when those methods are available.

Supported synchronization

Current Jira capabilities include:

  • Status
  • Assignee
  • Story-point estimate
  • Logged time
  • Sprint, status, and type import rules
  • Issue links, comments, attachments, and web links as supported source context
  • Push from a Lens or Home Orbit answer into Jira

Jira comments can contribute Lens signals. Quely Threads remain in Quely and are not the same as Jira comments. Documents and Diagrams remain in Quely.

If Jira does not work

  • Confirm authorization is still active.
  • Confirm the Jira project is visible to the connected account.
  • Confirm the required native field exists.
  • Confirm your account can edit the field.
  • Check whether the project type supports the requested feature.
