# Manage Space members and access

Control who can enter a Space and who should participate in its work and discussions.

## Who can access a Space

Space participants must be members of the Organization or invited guests. Access should match the scope of the Space and the context it contains.

## Invite someone

1. Open the Space.
2. Select the current member or invitation control.
3. In the team view, search Organization members and select the people to add. In **Guest**, enter an external email address.
4. Select **Invite** or send the guest invitation.
5. Confirm the person appears in the Space participant list.

## Choose the right participants

Invite people who own work, contribute context, make decisions, or need the Space's shared understanding. Avoid adding people only because they belong to the same Organization.

## Manage participants

The invite panel shows Host, Invited, Invite, Remove, and resend states where they apply. Guests can be removed from the Space and invited again later. A participant can use a named or anonymous identity when entering a Space.

## If access fails

* Confirm the invitation went to the correct email address.
* Confirm the person accepted the Organization or guest invitation.
* Ask an administrator whether access is restricted.
* Confirm the Space is still active.
